The deadlift

Keep the back straight, neutral spine, and hips below the shoulders. This is not a clean so it’s less of a squat movement.

We are focusing on pushing the hips through while squeezing the glutes in this movement. Think about someone holding your shoulders and hips at the same time, when you start the movement that person pulls your shoulders back and pushes your hips through.

There should be NO PAIN in the lower back during this movement. If there is reach out to me and let’s talk about what movements you need to incorporate before doing the deadlift.
